Just finished An Irish Country Doctor, which unexpectedly turned out to be my profession book. I really enjoyed the book. It reminded me of the James Herriot series with it cast of eccentric country characters.

Just finished "Shock" by Robin Cook for my medical condition read. It's a typical Robin Cook read--fast paced with a good bit of medical plot line. Unfortunately, the ending was disappointing.
